This is a delightful example of fine German porcelain of a beautiful young girl standing barefooted possibly on some rocks.

Her face is exquisitely handpainted and her feet and hands are beautifully detailed.

The backstamp is of two crossed pitchforks for Triebner Ens & Eckert, Volkstedt and dates it late 19th Century.

I believe her to be very rare, and cannot find another example during my research.

Condition, in my opinion, is very good for age and bearing in mind that she has very delicate parts. I cannot see any cracks to her however, for true accuracy I can see some areas of glaze missing around the rim of her hat especially on the side with the blue bow. This may (or may not) be indication of repair or restoration, but if so it looks good. Her shawl is a little rough on one part of its edge. There is a tiny ‘dot’ type mark on front of her skirt and there is a darker area on the base.
