I love this book. I have read so much about this amazing country and myself and many of my friends (I live in Cambodia as an axpat) anticipated this and it didn't fail to deliver. Nichols, the author is a brilliant and creative person and it shows in the balance and curation of this selection of photos - spectacular, curious, harrowing, magnificent, amusing and always insightful. Not only did we all buy our copies but we chose to buy extra copies to send home to our friends and associates because it is so legitiimately an excellent tome, both on Cambodia and in and of itself as an inspiring and captivating read.
Yes I would buy this book again, it makes a beautiful gift.

I purchased this book for my husband for Christmas as he had grown up with the author. He was delighted with it. The book takes a unique approach to recording the history of Cambodia through photographs. My husband marvels over the detailed narrative which accompanies the photographs and provides a fresh perspective on the country's chequered past.
