Why students cheat in exams?

We all have been in school and we ourselves have done cheating in exams or at least have seen our friends cheating.

So, Why students cheat? If you think and observe then you'd think that they cheat to get more marks and what those marks mean to them? They don't just cheat for marks they cheat so that they could score more or equal to their friends or other students around them. They feel pressure from people around them and now in this social media era where everyone is sharing their kid's mark sheet or comparing their kids with someone else. Everyone wants their kids to achieve great success and want them to score more marks. Every kid feels pressured that I want to score more marks than him/her and they get into this race of marks unwantedly.

We all blame our education system so easily but we don't accept the mistakes that we've been doing for years. If a student gets lower maks then instead scolding try to motivate and make him/her understand the importance of education and concepts (practical and theoretical approach) and not marks tell him/her that study for excellence and not for few more marks. Try to understand the concept and not just mugging everything and get good marks.

When you complete school and go to college then you'll get to know the world beyond your peers, friends, family, and classmates. You meet people from every level and have different talents and then you start thinking that whether cheating helps or not?

Converting into habit -> Once you start getting good result by doing less hard work and more cheating then you might start finding shortcuts to get success and that stays with you in every aspect of your life and not only sticks with exams that's why school life is life which teaches you more and as we are young during that period we adapt more. As with or without cheating if you reach a certain threshold you get equal rewards and that hits quite hard to your brain and it fits in your brain.

Is it that who cheats are not successful or who does not cheat always succeed? -> In both cases whether you cheat or not it doesn't mean that you'll get successful. But if you don't cheat and even if you fail you'll still be confident and will be willing to try again till you get success but if you cheat and don't succeed you might not want to try again as you'd not be able to feel more confident. And even if you succeed you might not be able to sustain that as you will not have enough knowledge about things.

If you do cheating now in any aspect of life whether its exam or competition or business then you might get temporary success but won't be able to sustain until you get the knowledge it requires.

Don't cheat and try to gain as much as the knowledge you can. It might feel tough in the beginning but in the end its the most fruitful way.
