YOUR NEW RFID BADGE To help prevent scalping and counterfeit badges, Comic-Con badges are now enabled with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags. At various points of entry to the San Diego Convention Center, Hall H, and the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel, you will encounter gates with a “SCAN HERE” indicator near the top of the gate (see example at right). All you need to do is tap your badge briefly to the indicator. When you do, you’ll get a green light that indicates you’ve been validated and are okay to enter. When you leave, you MUST tap your badge out so you may re-enter when you return. It is extremely important to remember to tap your badge when you leave, or you could be denied re-entry! If you forget to tap out or if you are experience an issue with your RFID badge, please visit one of our RFID Badge Help Desks. RFID Badge Help Desks are located in Lobby A, D, and G in the San Diego Convention Center and at Attendee Registration in the Pacific Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina. If you are sent to an RFID Badge Help Desk to resolve a badging issue, you will need a photo ID to validate that you are the badge holder of record. Always wear your badge and hang on to it! You will need your badge to attend any Comic-Con function, including all daytime and nighttime panels and events at the San Diego Convention Center, the other locations on the Comic-Con Campus (including the Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt hotels, plus the Horton Grand Theatre and the San Diego Central Library) and, of course, browsing or shopping in the Exhibit Hall. Keep your badge visible so guards do not stop you. If you’re asked to show your badge and photo ID, please do so. Badges are nontransferable. Please do not give your badge to a friend or to people outside the Convention Center when you leave Comic-Con. Security will perform random ID checks throughout the convention, so make sure the name on your badge matches your photo ID!
MORNING SAILS PAVILION LINES FOR EXCLUSIVE AND BOOTH SIGNING WRISTBANDS Every year at Comic-Con there are a few “big ticket” items and exclusive autograph signings that just can’t be missed! Since attendee safety is paramount and these items can be in high demand, we are working with some of our exhibitors to distribute wristbands for limited signings and items in the Sails Pavilion each morning before the Exhibit Hall opens. No need to run to that popular booth when the Exhibit Hall opens! Bandai America, Hasbro Toy Shop, LEGO, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros., and Funko LLC will all be participating in wristband distribution in the Sails Pavilion at Comic-Con 2016. Here are a few simple guidelines to make accessing the distribution lines easier for all attendees. (See the map at right for where these lines are located in the Sails Pavilion.) There is no access to ticket distribution lines from the back of the Convention Center. All Attendees must enter through the front of the building using the Comic-Con Badged Member entry line. Once the Badged Member line is moved upstairs they will be directed to the Sails Pavilion and into the appropriate distribution line. Please keep in mind that the Badged Member line may begin moving into the Convention Center as early as 6:00 AM. There is no access to the distribution lines prior to 6:00 AM. Anyone in that area will be cleared prior to opening and sent to the Badged Member line. ADA Attendees with mobility issues in the Badged Member line should proceed to the Lobby B2 glass doors, near the elevator, where they can use the glass elevator to access the upstairs holding area outside the Sails Pavilion. Once Attendees are in the Sails Pavilion, Comic-Con Floor Managers, Line Control and Autographs volunteers will direct you to the appropriate distribution line. For ADA Attendees, line holder volunteers are available at the Autograph Information booth located in the Sails Pavilion. To make the distribution as safe and fair as possible, exhibitors will perform random drawings for the coveted item or signing. Exhibitors are allowed to set the parameters for these random distributions. Please check with the individual exhibitors for specific rules and procedures. Remember, no items will be sold in the Sails Pavilion. Redemption information will be provided along with the wristbands and/or tickets if you are selected.

HALL H WRISTBANDS INFO • HALL H NEXT DAY LINE MAP The Return of the Toucan Tracker Wristbands for Hall H! Hate waiting in line? We do too! To help you manage your valuable time at Comic-Con and to discourage line cutting, the Toucan Tracker wristbands will be returning to Hall H for 2016! Toucan Tracker wristbands give attendees flexibility based upon their priorities at ComicCon. If you wish to get a front section seat in Hall H, you are welcome to wait in line overnight once you receive your wristband. If seat placement is not a priority to you, wristbands allow you to reserve general seating in Hall H and come back in the morning. Toucan Trackers are essentially a way for you to know that you have a seat in Hall H, whether you are physically in line or not!
DISTRIBUTION DATES/TIMES Wednesday, July 20:
SO HOW DO THEY WORK?
Saturday, July 23:
Toucan Tracker wristbands will be given out the night before each Hall H panel. For example, Saturday wristbands will be given out on Friday night. Once you receive your wristband, you have three options: 1. You may immediately line up for the following day’s first panel in Hall H. 2. You may leave someone to hold your place in line, and return before 7:30 AM to meet them. You will be allowed to join them in line as long as you have your matching wristband. Please keep in mind that line is grouped in color “zones.” If your group wishes to enter together, all members of your group will need to get wristbands at the same time, so plan accordingly.
Wristband distribution for Thursday panels in Hall H will begin at 9:00 PM in the general Hall H line in Plaza Park.
Thursday, July 21: Wristband distribution for Friday panels in Hall H will begin at 7:15 PM at the front of the Next Day Line.
Friday, July 22: Wristband distribution for Saturday panels in Hall H will begin at 9:00 PM at the front of the Next Day Line.
Wristband distribution for Sunday panels in Hall H will begin at 9:00 PM at the front of the Next Day Line. Please note: Wristband distribution will continue throughout the night until all wristbands are distributed or until 7:30 AM the following day. Remember, you do not need to wait in line overnight to receive first seating. Your wristband ensures first seating for the first panel of the day in Hall H. You are welcome to have
someone hold your place in line or simply return to the end of the wristbanded line prior to 7:30 AM. Wristbands will only be used for the first panel of the day in Hall H. Once the wristband line has been let into the hall, individuals without wristbands will be allowed to enter.
The Fine Print: Wristbands are issued such that the wristband holder will have first seating for Hall H (barring any unforeseen circumstances). We anticipate that all holders of wristbands will be able to get seating for Hall H if you follow the guidelines above. Comic-Con reserves the right to refuse entry to any person for any reason. Wristbands cannot be traded or sold. By receiving a wristband, you agree not to sell, trade, transfer or share your wristband. In the event that San Diego Comic Convention/Comic-Con International (SDCC) determines that you have violated this policy, SDCC has the right to cancel your badge(s) and keep any money paid by you. Comic-Con reserves the right to change any time or procedure for distributing any wristbands for any reason. Safety concerns, and requests from the Convention Center, the Fire Marshal, Police, City, or Port may require we change these published plans.
HALL H NEXT DAY LINE (NDL)
3. You may leave, get a good night’s rest, and return to the end of the wristbanded line before 7:30 AM. Please keep in mind that you must be there before 7:30 AM. If you decide to leave the line at any point, you may return to the end of the wristbanded line prior to 7:30 AM and still gain entry to the first panel of the day in Hall H. You do not need to wait overnight! If you return after 7:30 AM, you will have to go to the end of the Hall H line and may not receive first seating.
AND WHERE DO YOU GET THESE FABULOUS WRISTBANDS? Toucan Tracker wristbands will be distributed at the front of the Next Day Line for Hall H. Distribution times vary by day. Please see the map to the right for the location of the Next Day Line. You will need your Comic-Con 2016 badge or your barcode confirmation to receive a wristband. Please note that IDs will be checked, and the name on your photo ID must match the barcode confirmation.

San Diego restaurants have created “Grab-and-Go” options and badge discount savings for Comic-Con attendees! Most restaurants listed here are offering special Grab-and-Go options, meal discounts, or are participating in the San Diego Convention Center and East Village Association’s “Show Your Badge & Save Programs.” Here’s how the program works: Attendees simply need to show their badge at the time of purchase to redeem the discount! SDCC’s program is also offered in a coupon format at www.visitsandiego.com/attendees/discounts.cfm You can also visit the East Village Association’s website at www.eastvillagesandiego.com/category/featured/special-offers/ to view the most current information and offers. Remember to wear your badge when you go out to eat—breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks! Comic-Con attendees need only show their badge at the restaurants listed to get any available discount.
BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR COMIC-CON 2016 BADGE WHEN YOU GO OUT TO EAT!
RESTAURANTS ON THIS LIST MAY BE OFFERING SPECIAL OFFERS TO BADGE-HOLDERS. 46
